Movie on the Beach

We found a new free activity that we can start doing. Last night we watched Shrek the 3rd on the beach in Waikiki. We ate plate lunches; Chicken Katsu, BBQ Chicken, rice and salad (not free) while we watched the movie. The stars were out, the moon was bright, Diamond Head was right behind the screen, it was a great night. Except when I got really grouchy because of my hunger pains before the movie. Sorry Christian. And yes, we know Christmas is over, we didn't plan our outfits.

Cloverfield

Aside from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, this is probably the only movie that our family movie critic, (Christian), said was flawless. Quote "I don't think there is one thing I would change about this movie." We both couldn't stop talking about this movie after we saw it and we decided that it was pretty much amazing. Despite the motion sickness you feel while watching it, it keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole hour and 1/2. Yes, if you get bad motion sickness, I'd advise that you not watch this movie. They had disclaimer signs all over the theater before you go in, telling us to be prepared. The hand held camera shaking was worse than Blair Witch Project. Christian didn't realize that he got motion sickness until we watched this movie and he was scanning the theater for his quick exit if need be. The actors were unknown and amazing and everything was so believable. (They were all pretty hot too.) There is this one kissing scene that I just can't get out of my head, your heart just melts. Anyways, if you can tolerate crazy camera movements, go see this movie!

Cheers to Chelcie and Bronson!

Saturday January 12, 2008, Chelcie and Bronson got married in Newport Beach. She was a beautiful bride! It was so great to see the fam and our good friends at the wedding. To our surprise, California was freezing the whole 1/2 week we were there, it was unbearable at times. We got a lot of shopping done, Christian went surfing a couple of times with some friends, us girls got pampered with massages and we got our nails done. The last night we were there we hung out with Whitney and Jim, (Christian's sister and friend) which is always a pleasure. There's no place like home.

Congrats Chels and Bronz!

Happy New Year!

Christian and I have joined the blogging world and we are excited to start our blogging journal for the new year. Thanks to my genius sister, Chelcie, she gave me the idea to print off my blogs and keep them in a binder as a journal, and keeping a journal is something I have been wanting to do for a long time. So even though you don't really have an interest in what we have to say, at least we are writing our blogs for our journal book. :) So we are excited about the new year and what lies ahead of us. On New Year's Eve we went to dinner and a movie with friends. Then we split and went back home to drink hot chocolate and watch the fireworks from our living room window. Our fellow Manoan's were in great spirit this year as they almost lit the town on fire from all of their fireworks. We loved it! There were probably over 10 different shows going on. It looked like a war zone. New Year's day we hiked back to the Manoa Falls which was beautiful. I still managed to get some bites on me even though I reapplied the bug spray several times throughout the hike. They love my sweet blood! They were all over Christian too but he didn't get one bite. We hope that everyone enjoyed celebrating New Years this year and wish you all the best for 2008!
