Busted!

I have definitely learned my lesson and I am now afraid to drive on the road. Last month I was driving into town to pick Christian up from work. The sun was in my eyes and it was really hard to see and I almost hit a pedestrian crossing the road. Unfortunately, the pedestrian was a police officer...on duty. So I felt really bad, waved at him to let him know I saw him and I was sorry. Two blocks later I get the tap on my window. He ran after me, pulled me over and sent me to court.

This morning was my court date and it was really terrifying. I thought the whole experience was going to be informal and quick, but instead we had a courtroom filled with people who were silent. When the judge arrived, we all had to stand up, "All Arise". We had to go up one at a time in this dead silent courtroom and talk in a microphone and explain to the judge our side of the story. Long story short the Judge fined me $150 plus a $40 admin fee. Lame! My fine was one of the highest in the room. Apparently they passed this new law because pedestrians were getting hit all the time and I had to pay the price, even though I didn't hit anyone. Lesson learned.

The 'Others'

Christian is convinced that we have a slipper thief. But for some reason, this slipper thief is only taking the right slipper, and is leaving the left. He discovered our right slippers missing a couple of days ago from our porch.

Just this morning, I spotted Christian's right camo slipper out in the yard, but he still thinks that someone came and picked it up and moved it. Who knows what the 'Others' have planned next. We will keep you posted.

So Tu-Tu!

Miss Addi Boo and I had the best time together. We went shopping, played kick ball, danced to Yo! Gabba Gabba, and fed the dogs gold fishies and string cheese.
This little girl melts my heart! I love that Addi pretends to be camera shy for a second in this video, and then she counts in her famous low scary voice.

Tis the Season...to get Married

Sweet Stephani got married this weekend at the Newport Beach Temple to Mr. Anthony Strike. They are a match made in heaven! I couldn't have been happier for her.

Steph's Bridal Shower was held at my mom's house. Check out this candy bar! Amazing little party favor that my mom put together.

My family at the reception. Only one more blonde left.

My two new favorite girls! Instant friends.

Congratulations Steph and Anthony!

Valentines Day away from my Valentine

This year for Valentines Day I was in California for a wedding, and I was sad because my Valentine was not there with me. My dad surprised everyone and got us all tickets to go see Wicked! (Actually, he secretly forgot to get me a ticket because he forgot that I was going to be in town. I had to remind them that I was coming out, which proved to me how excited they all were for my visit. :) Thank goodness he found me a seat right next to them. Dad to the rescue!). It turned out to be a great night. We went to Kobes for dinner and then headed off to LA for Wicked, which was AMAZING by the way!
Our chef, Danielson, (on the left) was pretty awesome on the grill.

Manoa in the Rain

It was a challenge walking down to our car this morning for church with only one umbrella. It didn't help that my heel broke through our wooden porch and I got stuck. Christian was a great sport and helped me out of the hole. It's no wonder Manoa is so green! We love the rain here, but I'm secretly excited for spring/summer.
